The Trulli Primicerio
are in the ITRIA
valley
-
Land
of elegant towns with white houses - LOCOROTONDO - MARTINA
FRANCA - but especially land of stones, lime and Trulli.
Morfologicamente and structurally ancient, the trullo is a
unique construction with it’s base in mortar and conical roofing
in “chiancarelle”. Trullis are found in groups or as individual
buildings isolated across this fertile valley. Trulli homes are
seen all across Puglia, but ALBEROBELLO is the only village that
has the greatest concentration of these sixteenth century
dwellings. The “Trulli di Alberobello” were inscribed on the
UNESCO World Heritage Site in December 1996
CISTERNINO

Located
toward east on a small promontory, is a land rich in historical
and artistic evidence - of great interest.
The city faces the beautiful Valle d'Itria, and is full of
symbolic traces of stucco decorations and Baroque and Romanesque
buildings of major importance. Narrow roads, steps and arches
make it special and unique in the area.
